About
My name is Larry Ham. The owner of “Let em’ Lite Calls”.
I am 74 years old and live in Western Kentucky in the small town of Benton.
I have been an avid hunter all my life, hunting rabbits as a boy with my Granddad and quail with my Dad.
I hunt almost all wild game found in my area, ducks, geese, turkey, deer, quail, and rabbit. My passion is waterfowl. I love the hunt of waterfowl because of being able to call them in and watch them respond to my call and gliding towards my decoys.
I was a guide for a club for several years and then started my own club in early 80’s around the Ballard County Refuge area. I managed it for 20 yrs. Still today I’m an avid waterfowl hunter.
I started making calls because real good calls were too expensive for me to purchase. So I wanted to try to make a great sounding call that an average working man with a family could afford. It took me about 5 years, with a lot of trial and error, to come up with the call I was looking for. I finally made a call that sounded great. I wanted to find material that would help me keep the prices down. I finally accomplished this and for about 22 years I have made great quality and sounding game calls and can sell them at a reasonable price.
The name “Let em’ Lite” came from when I had the Goose Club. I wouldn’t let the hunters sky bust the geese or ducks, so they jokingly said “you had to let em light to please Ham”.
I have duck, goose, deer grunts, and turkey calls. I make all the calls, with wood or acrylic, from the highest quality materials. I design all my calls and tune them with my own design of reeds. I take a lot of pride in making my calls look good and sound even better.
I think if you try one of my calls you will see that you get a high quality call, and a great sounding call for a reasonable price. If you want your waterfowl up close and personal you need a Let em’ Lite Call.
